If we've ever hung out, you would probably expect to see me in flip flops, moccasins, or my favorite leather slouch boots from Vietnam.  I'm just not a heel girl.  But there's something so sweet about slipping on an amazing pair of gorgeous bejeweled shoes.  They make you feel sexy.  Even if you're wearing an old tshirt and jeans that you rolled up in the dressing room so you could see how awesome your legs look in these heels.

The red ones are definitely my favorite... they remind of Dorothy's shoes in The Wizard of Oz, which just happens to be one of my favorite childhood movies (right alongside Troop Beverly Hills, The Little Mermaid, and Back to the Future (yes.))  I absolutely looove the contrast of brightly colored shoes against a white wedding dress... it's like candy to a photographer :)

I was pretty excited for Amber and Jim's wedding: it was at a winery (one of my favorite places to be on a sunny Saturday in the Midwest), it was October (my favorite season in the Midwest!), and it was the wedding of two really awesome, laid back and fun people who are completely and utterly in love.  Amber and Jim planned a really relaxed day; after the ceremony we stopped at one of their favorite restaurants in town to get some lunch and hang out, and we had tons of time for taking portraits at the beautiful Spirit Knob winery.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Martin!!
